For this week's Illustration Friday topic, a new piece I recently painted for a Valentine card! It's been a while since I've posted on IF, so it feels good to be back. Been feeling restless lately, so I tried something different this time. Instead of painting on canvas, I used Arches 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. For the texture, I brushed on clear gesso, and painted with acrylics, with just a touch of colored pencils. I like the soft mood of the painting. Will be doing more, maybe on heavier watercolor paper next time.
